Oh the power of technology ;)
There is always a point in life where we will have to get out of the cocoon and embrace the outer world..

My attempt in Creamy Butter Chicken
Yes, I do cook. Once in a while
Because eating out is such a chore,
and there's nothing like home cooked food!
So yesterday I wanted to try something new - Creamy Butter Chicken!
Sort of created my own recipe, and surprisingly it turned out pretty well :D

Boneless chicken breast marinated with curry powder & flour,
Butter, Cheese (a satisfying portion I must say),
lots of Garlic and Onion (because I love'em)
Curry leaves, coriander seeds, chilli padi, tomato
And I used low fat milk instead of evaporated milk or yoghurt
I stir fried the chicken first so that they're nice and brown
before cooking the creamy butter gravy
And I served it with rice and boiled broccolis
Yums!

Green Green Grass
The other day, we were chatting and I uttered something,
"Some people just have a smooth sailing life"
He replied,
"On the surface"
That's so true. He practically brought me back to the Earth. I've always have the impression that the grass is greener at the other side; or in this situation, the grass is greener at his/her backyard. Don't get me wrong, I LOVE my life. I'm absolutely blessed to be surrounded by all the friends and family whom I truly care about; and at 27, I do pat myself at the back sometimes for achieving what I am today.
But you know, sometimes we just wander off to the "what-if" land.
Hence, once in a while, I just need a gentle reminder to tell me that "You're doing just fine".

What's happening to us
Don't get me started on the Obedient Wives Club which was launched in Malaysia over the weekend; I can go on and on about how shallow we are becoming
But see what made the cover of The Sun newspaper on Monday?

Front page, really?

Sometimes we just need to jump off the cliff
So, work has been hectic,
And the company has decided to give us a short break
over at the new integrated resorts last weekend.
We spent our day at Sentosa,
and night at Marina Bay Sands.
Work habit: we treasure EVERY single waking hour

Ramblings
My laptop is having a disk clean up at the moment
So I've decided not to stress it anymore by closing all my work files.
It's pretty pathetic when you *have* to find a reason to blog.
I know.
Anyway, life has been pretty monotonous lately.
Work, Singapore, resisting the urge to cut my hair,
visiting pet shops on a weekly basis.
I think age has caught up to me.
It felt like I've "settled down" to what I have.
What happened to the young adventurous me,
who used to have high expectations and wild dreams?
It's about time for me to have a new aim!
To start smoking for instance
Nah just kidding.

Breathe Mei Yuan, breathe
I'm so overwhelmed with work
that I need to eat Nutella straight from the jar
to keep myself happy.
Good luck to me.

I went to H&M
Truth to be told, I was craving for Malay food
when I got back from Hong Kong.
Don't get me wrong, char chan teng(s) are nice.
But not for everyday. No way.
And I desperately need a foot massage.
Like NOW.
Walking non-stop for 3 days straight was no joke
Don't get me wrong again.
Walking non-stop for shopping is fine.
For work, well, you get the picture.
Here goes the concrete jungle:

I felt like I was in a Hong Kong movie everywhere I went.
Pretty surreal.
